My originals are totally handpainted on pure white silk.
Mounted on foamboard & supplied with a mattboard ready to frame -
please read the descriptions below carefully as each original is different.
You will need to supply both the frame and the glass for these.
How Silk Painting is done
Firstly a design is needed, either in my head or pre-drawn on paper.
The design is drawn onto the silk - a steady hand is needed as mistakes
cannot be undone!
The silk is dried for 6 hours and heatset. Now I can add the colours, layer
upon layer until I am happy. Another 6 hours drying, and then any touch-ups
or special effects can be done.
I usually let the silk rest for at least a day or two, And then into a commercial
steamer for half a day to set the colours.Then the silk is washed to remove any
residual chemicals, and pressed, and is now ready for framing in its mount.
I often paint special scenes for each area I sell in, making the images relevant to
the stores, and to the local customers.
I also do paint commissions as long as I am given total artistic license,
preferring to paint for the pleasure of it rather than the money. Hence you will
find my work very well priced.

The above shipping estimates are for economy courier (not post) & are fully trackable.
Prices include packaging and insurance and delivery times once sent range from 3 to 10 working days.

Black edged, and about 5cm thick.
Sizes are 100cm x 35cm approximate only.
Pease order by code number.
Quality art print on synthetic canvas, fully wipeable, safe in bathrooms.
Uv pigment inks for fade resistance.
Fully framed in pine, ready to hang on a small nail.
These are handmade so allow 3-4 weeks delivery, but you can also ask if by
chance if I already have your favourites already made up
Normal retail is NZ$259 each in galleries, or NZ$195 direct from me.
We can send anywhere in NZ for an additional $20 freight North Island and
$25 freight South Island per parcel of 1-4 canvas's.
We can also send these overseas, two per package max. Overseas freight
will range from NZ$30 to NZ$130 depending on how many, and to what country, and
if you want to use regular post or courier - please ask for a quote.
